Mac n' Cheese S'Mac Down Wrap-up

The first annual Molly's Mac n' Cheese S'mac Down was a huge success on January 6, 2012 at Polo Grill and Bar. Guests lined up outside the doors with their mouths watering waiting to try the 15 varieties of mac n' cheese made by local chefs, students, and amateurs. Molly Demeulenaere, Molly Turner, Molly Klauber, and Molly Schrechter took their time tasting all of the mac n' cheeses to carefully select a winner for one of the two prize belts. By the time they were ready to burst, they rolled into a private meeting space to debate the deliciousness! Amateur Josh Taylor brought home the "Commander in Cheese" award presented by the Molly's. Meanwhile, the eager cheese fan attendees were able to cast their vote with dollars which benefitted G.WIZ- The Science Museum. The voters were heard loud and clear and Blu Que Island Grill proudly took "The Top Mac Award" home for bragging rights! Guests purchased raffle tickets for cheesy raffle items which were announced near the end of the event. Over $1,600 was raised for the charity that night. All in all, we are ready to count down for the next S'mac Down in 2013!!! Stay tuned for the official date!
