Sarasota, FL. (April 15, 2011) – The first cheese festival to hit the Gulf Coast is set to boost Sarasota’s tourism in 2012. The date will be confirmed soon. Co-Founders Tommy Klauber, owner of Polo Grill and Bar and Pattigeorges, and Molly Klauber, President of Go To Girl are thrilled to roll out a fun filled day and night of events to bring out the biggest cheese fans in the area. Gulf Coast Cheese Fest is planning to become an annual ritual not to be missed.
The Klauber’s have chosen GWIZ - The Science Museum to be the benefactor of the event. "When the most frequent assessment of your organization is ‘that’s really cool’, you know you’re in the right business." says Molly Morgan, CEO of GWIZ a local 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. The mission of GWIZ is to be the gateway for lifelong adventures in science. But, the real agenda is to ignite imaginations… to show that the world around us is amazing, breathtaking and full of unanswered questions. GWIZ operates a 33,000 sq ft center, interactive gallery, critter habitat and Fab Lab. In addition they offer year-round programming for residents, school groups, community groups and tourists
Roger Capote, owner of The Naked Florist, will be the exclusive event designer and florist. Roger is well known for his hands on attention to detail and abstract creativity. He is becoming Sarasota’s premier florist for all major events. The Naked Florist is located at 425 Central Ave in the historic Rosemary District.
Attendee’s of Gulfcoast Cheese Fest should expect a full day and night of cheesy festivities. The daytime will be filled with themed seminars and classes with a mouth-watering lunch at the award winning Polo Grill and Bar, the exclusive caterer of the Festival. The evening is sure to attract a crowd for the “Cheese Ball” which will held at GWIZ’s high energy facility.
Sponsorships levels will be announced soon and will be a great opportunity for businesses to support the organization. Pricing for the events will be value driven and VIP Passports will be available for the guests that want to enjoy all of the events.
